Directive 2006\/42\/EC of 17 May 2006 was adopted and implemented for Italy by Legislative Decree no. 17 of 27 January 2010 and entered into force throughout Europe on 29 December 2009. It defines the safety and public health requirements which machinery must meet before it is placed on the market.
In particular, the machines are checked in accordance with the procedures described in Article 12 and reported below:<\/p>\n

3. Single-sided, integrated feed planing machines with manual loading and\/or unloading for woodworking.<\/p>\n
4. Band saws for manual loading and\/or unloading for wood working wood and materials with similar physical characteristics or for processing meat and materials with similar physical characteristics, of the following types:<\/p>\n
5. Combined machinery of the types referred to in paragraphs 1 to 4 and 7 for wood working wood and materials with similar physical characteristics.<\/p>\n
6. Tenoning machines with multiple spindles with manual feed for woodworking.<\/p>\n
7. Vertical axis milling machines, “toupies” with manual feed for working wood and materials with similar physical characteristics.<\/p>\n
8. Portable wood chain saws.<\/p>\n
9. Presses, including bending machines, for cold metal working, manual loading and\/or unloading, the moving parts of which may have a stroke of more than 6 mm and a speed of more than 30 mm\/s.<\/p>\n
10. Plastic molding machines for injection or compression with manual loading or unloading.<\/p>\n
11. Rubber forming machines with injection or compression, manual loading or unloading.<\/p>\n
12. Underground machinery of the following types:<\/p>\n
13. Manually loaded household waste collection buckets equipped with a compression mechanism.<\/p>\n
14. Removable mechanical transmission devices, including guards thereof.<\/p>\n
15. Guards for removable mechanical transmission devices.<\/p>\n
16. Vehicle lifts<\/p>\n
17. Devices for lifting people or persons and things with a risk of a vertical fall of more than 3 metres.<\/p>\n
19. Protective equipment designed for the detection of persons. Automatic interlocked safety gates designed for use as means of protection in the machinery referred to in paragraphs 9, 10 and 11.<\/p>\n
20. Logic blocks for safety functions.<\/p>\n
21. Rollover Protection Structures (ROPS).<\/p>\n
22. Falling Object Protection Structures (FOPS).<\/p>\n
