CE Certification and Marking

The CE Marking denotes that the product on which is affixed is conform to the Essential Safety Requirements required by the european comunity, therefore can circulate freely in the comunity market.

Several times, the certification iter requires the intervention of an external Notifed Body like Vericert S.r.l., which verifies and certifies the product conformity to Standards or legislatives documents, or to specific technical Standards.

Certification can also be performed following a voluntary request, in order to provide the product with a superior guarantee for the final customer.

In this case, Vericert S.r.l. operates as an Expert Body, certifying the conformity to the product specifications requested by the manufacturer.

Machinery Directive - 2006/42/EC

The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC replaces, since Dicember 29, 2009, the previous Directive 98/37/EC that covered conformity assessment procedures.

PED Directive - 97/23/EC

PED Directive 97/23/EC covers pressure equipments (vessels, boilers, piping, sets...) and provides the essential safety requirements the Manufacturer has to fulfill in order to get the CE Marking on such equipments.

Lifts Directive - 95/16/EC

The Lifts Directive 95/16/EC covers new lifts permanently installed in buildings and constructions. It also applies to certain safety components for lifts listed in Annex IV.
