Safety at work

 

There is a series of technical, organizational and control procedures wich must be followed by the employer, by his collaborators and by the workers to ensure safety at work.

Health and safety measures must be taken in order to improve the working conditions and to reduce the accidents that may occurr to employees, to other workers, to external collaborators and to everyone who is, even occasionally, present in the establishment.

Hygiene and health protections must be provided to protect the workers, the populations and the environment from health problems and professional illnesses.

All of this is regulated, in Italy, by the Legislative Decree 81/08, implemented on May 15, 2008

It introduces the concept of a safety based on the accountability of the Company Management and on the cultural awareness of the workers about the issues involved.

Industrial Hygiene

Industrial Hygiene interventions are based upon instrumental audits of health and comfort in the workplaces.

Such interventions require a strong interaction with the Company Doctor and must be included in the risk assessment, as provided by the Legislative Decree 81/08.
