The Lifts Directive 95/16/EC covers new lifts permanently installed in buildings and constructions. It also applies to certain safety components for lifts listed in Annex IV. This Directive was implemented in Italy by the Italian Presidential Decree of April 30, 1999 and modified with subsequent Decrees in 2009 and 2010. In addition to the matter of CE Marking on new lifts the Directive includes the inspection of their proper put into service and their periodic audits. Vericert S.r.l. can operate, in the scope of this Directive, as a Notified Body for the conformity assessment and as an Inspection Body for periodic audits and putting into service inspections.
